As you know the biopic jOBS is about Apple founder, Steve Jobs. In the film Jobs is portrayed, somehow by That 70’s Show star and Twitter Icon, Ashton Kutcher and the film is written by the esteemed Aaron Sorkin. Serious business. What you may not know is that comedy website, Funny or Die is ALSO rolling out their own Steve Jobs biopic parody titled iSteve, on April 15th. FoD’s version has someone more suitable for the role of Jobs, however… The Mac Guy himself, Mr. Justin Long.
The film also stars Venture Bros’ star James Urbaniak as Bill Gates as well as comedian Michaela Watkins as Melinda Gates. iSteve is being written/directed by Ryan Perez, who also directed a parody of Zero Dark Thirty. Perez recently spoke with the NY Times and told them the entire film for iSteve was written in 3 days and filmed in 5.
So check out iSteve… April 15th on Funny or Die. Who knows, maybe John Hodgman will make a cameo (probably not.)
