NEWS HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK:
- Norman Reedus says he never wants to leave “The Walking Dead.”
- James Wan and New Line Cinema have teamed with Warner Bros. digital content creator Stage 13 for “Night Vision,” a unique competition horror reality series. For the series, 13 filmmakers will be chosen by a panel of leading horror directors, producers, writers, and executives, and presented with the challenge of creating the best, scariest short films possible. The winner will receive a development deal with New Line.
- “Black Mirror” is going interactive when it returns, making a past idea from its creator a virtual reality. Netflix’s acclaimed anthology series from Charlie Brooker is working on a choose-your-own-adventure episode for its forthcoming fifth season.
- “Outcast” has been canceled at Cinemax after two seasons.
- Showtime has canceled “I’m Dying Up Here” after two seasons.
- FX has renewed “Mayans MC” for a second season
