This week we decided to take a break from our “user request” list and just do something that we want to do! There are many iterations of Sonic The Hedgehog, but this is widely considered to be the better of the two. This series got a much shorter run, and is often remembered less often than its cohort (the series that shall not be named). With all of that said, why such a short run? Why is considered to be better? Why would a better show not get renewed? We don’t know either but we’re going to try and muddle our way through figuring it out! Come listen this week as we talk the better of the two 1990’s Sonic series.
From Wikipedia:
Sonic the Hedgehog (also known as Sonic SatAM[1]) is an American animated television series based on the video game series of the same name. It was story edited by Len Janson and produced by DiC Entertainment, Sega of America, Inc., and the Italian studio Reteitalia S.p.A.[2] It is the second of DiC’s Sonic cartoons, following Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. It features a more dramatic and dark story,[3] depicting Sonic as a member of a band of freedom fightersbattling to overthrow Doctor Robotnik. The program aired for two seasons on ABC from September 18, 1993 to December 3, 1994.[4]
